PRIMARY CYBER SAFETY

Empowering students to navigate the online world safely is of great importance in todays’ world.  Computing at schools want to engage and inspire students to confidently explore the resources provided in the online world.  We have the necessary resources to teach the skills of online safety to students, parents and teachers.  This will be carried out through interactive face-to-face workshops.

While advances in technology have created opportunities to engage students in the classroom in new and exciting ways they also present significant challenges.

Principals and teachers have a duty of care to take reasonable steps to protect students from any harm that should have reasonably been foreseen, including those that may be encountered within the online learning environment.

What to do next? It is simple. Just send an email to hello@computingatschools.ie or ring us today on 053-9156757

Thank you Trevor & Computing at Schools for a very informative and engaging workshop. Looking forward to your visit to the classroom next week!
Mairead Parle – ICT Coordinator
Teacher, Parent and Student Cyber Safety Workshops
Computing at Schools delivered a frank presentation regarding cyber safety, etiquette and responsibilities that impacted on our students. His conversational but hard-hitting presentation style highlighted to students, in an audience-appropriate manner, the risks/implications of their actions online and the importance of being secure online while taking responsibility for their use of Social Media and the Web.
