POST PRIMARY CYBER SAFETY – Physical and Virtual Delivery Options
The internet is a vital way of staying connected in the modern world, for both adults and children alike. With this growing connectivity, however, comes a growing number of risks, which you must know how to prevent. To empower students to navigate the online world safely, we are providing workshops for students, teachers and parents. These workshops greatly help students to be safe, confident explorers of the online world.
While advances in technology have created opportunities to engage students in the classroom in new and exciting ways they also present significant challenges.
Teachers can potentially be exposed to huge amounts of cyber risk which can, therefore, impact on the school’s reputation, harm their careers and have adverse effects on their students. This workshop was developed to educate Teacher about modern practises ensuring their online safety.
Principals and teachers have a duty of care to take reasonable steps to protect students from any harm that should have reasonably been foreseen, including those that may be encountered within the online learning environment.
